Judgment on Sidon and Promise of Israel's Security
Ezekiel 28:20-26
20And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,21Son of man, set your face toward Sidon and prophesy against her,22and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, Sidon, and I will be honored in your midst, and they will know that I am the LORD when I execute judgments in her and I am consecrated in her.23And I will send pestilence and blood into her streets, and the slain will fall in her midst by the sword from all around her, and they will know that I am the LORD.24And there will no longer be for the house of Israel a briar that maligns or a thorn that pains from all around them who despise them, and they will know that I am the Lord GOD.25Thus says the Lord GOD: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they were scattered, and I am consecrated in them before the eyes of the nations, then they will dwell upon their land which I gave to my servant Jacob.26And they will dwell upon it in security, and they will build houses and plant vineyards and dwell in security, when I execute judgments upon all who despise them from around them, and they will know that I am the LORD their God.
